On March 20, 2003 the United Stated declared war on Saddam Hussein and invaded Iraq with 3 primary missions:- Depose the brutal dictator Saddam Hussein
- Find and destroy Hussein's WMD
- Liberate the Iraqi's from the repressive brutality of Saddam Hussein’s regime.
- Joint Resolution 114 gives a full account for the U.S.’s decision to invade Iraq. (pdf format)
- President George W. Bush's address to the Nation.
Since before the invasion, there have been many instances where secret plans and military intelligence has been leaked to the enemy, decisions and calculations have been misrepresented, and historical facts been intentionally left out of the reporting.
This blog has been created to combat what has become the “Conventional Wisdom” in hopes that people will remember the full history of the Worlds relationship with Saddam Hussein, and hopefully shed some light in order to help us stop focusing on the daily snapshot of Iraq, and start working toward the future.
